Microsoft Kills Off a Skype Feature That Nobody Was Using

Microsoft has decided to ditch Skype’s Highlight feature, an option that the company has added in an attempt to give its messaging platform a more social touch.

More like a rival to Snapchat Stories, Skype Highlights has never impressed, and even though Microsoft says that it’s pulling it from the app because it wants to simplify the messaging client, the reason is most likely its small userbase.

In an announcement this week, Microsoft explains that Highlights would continue to be available until September 30, after which they would be gone forever.
