Microsoft Confirms Windows 10 Activation Issue, Says You Should Wait

Earlier today, I reported that a number of Windows 10 systems are being hit by what appears to be an activation bug causing their systems to be listed as not activated.

In a post on the company’s support forums, user DanielRandy reveals that Microsoft Support confirmed this is a known issue being experienced in several countries.

Microsoft engineers recommend users to wait for up to two days until the fix is resolved, as contacting support right now may not help.

“Microsoft has just released an Emerging issue announcement about current activation issue related to Pro edition recently. This happens in Japan, Korea, American and many other countries,” a Microsoft Support engineer was quoted as saying in a post on the Community forums.

“I am very sorry to inform you that there is a temporary issue with Microsoft's activation server at the moment.
