A silent change that Microsoft has implemented in Windows 10 is the subject of a new controversy around how the software giant updates the operating system despite user feedback.
Specifically, as many users noted on reddit, Windows 10 no longer shows daylight saving reminders, a feature that was previously available on both Windows 7 and Windows 8.1.
Launching the date and time popup on Windows 10 on the eve of a daylight saving time update shows no information, while on previous Windows versions, such a notification was displayed whenever the additional details were accessed.
However, it’s worth noting this isn’t a change that was part of Windows 10 version 1809 (October 2018 Update), which was often criticized for the plethora of bugs that were included in the OS, but in all versions of the OS, both old and new.
